The Bathroom

I have gotten over my phobia of public restrooms a while ago. I used to be one of those people that refused to use public toilets... or unfamiliar toilets for that matter. I would go an entire road trip without visiting the restroom. It couldn't have been healthy but I figured it was the lesser of two evils.

I think it was coffee that broke me of this habit. Yes coffee. The wonderful, hot, morning pick-me-up ... that sends it all straight through you. By 10 AM at work, my gut is making uncomfortable growly noises, forcing me to go to restroom whether I want to or not.

It's usually all good if no ones in there. I know guys have their own etiquette bathrooms. Girls seem to be all over the place....

What else is new

I never really understood the pack mentality some girls have when it comes to visiting the restroom. If I had the choice I would choose an empty bathroom over one full of my girlfriends any day. I've actually been in a restroom where women were talking to each other while in separate stalls.

Pee time is me time.

Poo time... well that's just special. But also me time.

I don't mind it when people use a restroom for restroom things.  But it is not a place people should seek out for socializing. I walked in on a women talking on her cellphone and painting her nails today. REALLY? There is a lounge area right outside the bathroom you could do that in. If she was worried about ventilation, the bathroom is really not the place for that.

In the end I think everyone would prefer to have a private bathroom over a public one. I do feel bad for the people who haven't gotten over the stigma of using them at all.

Well yay for toilet talk. I never really quite know how to end these things. I guess the just end.
